Dr. Mohd Noor Hisham Mohd Nadzir currently holds the position of Senior Lecturer at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science. His research interests are on animal physiology, specifically in animal nutrition, production and reproduction which include assisted reproduction including endocrinology studies involving oestrus synchronisation and superovulation and repeated oocytes recovery using laparoscopic oocyte pick-up (LOPU) in goats and cattle. Also, study wildlife and poultry. Long term goal is to develop strategies (e.g. nutritional and reproductive management) and to provide new fundamental knowledge on the interrelationships between nutrition, metabolic homeostasis, liver function, and reproductive axis in domestic and farm animals. CURRENT RESEARCH INTEREST : Animal reproductive biotechnology and gene expression studies are associated with both conventional and biotechnological breeding techniques such as rapid genetic improvement, increasing reproductive efficiency, advancement in reproductive technology, and genetic engineering to enhance the productivity of domestic animals through feeding supplements in farm animals and wildlife.
